First up the teacher gifts. There were fingerless glovesHe picked the yarn and what to give. These are the Maine Morning Mitts knit in Berroco remix and he wanted a little “pouch” to put some choc in and of course the mitts. His teacher loved everything and since it was all his idea it was that much better. The aide in the class got one of theseI filled them with dove choc. The aide in Alyssa’s classroom got the pink one.. Her teacher was a little harder to think of a gift since she has a male teacher. However she came up with this idea.An embroidered tied “two sided” fleece blanket. Even though Mama had to make all of these teachers gift the process was much easier since they told me what they wanted the teachers to have…Now onto the family handmade goodies..He wanted a hat with the “Ear things” Pattern was from The Last Minute Knitted Gifts and the yarn was Lamps Pride bulky. Her hat was made with some stash yarn Homespun by Lion Brand. Pattern is family of hats from the More Last Minute Knitted Gifts.. Hubby got one in Brown but I still haven’t been able to take a pic. This sweet girl was very happy to now have her own Star Crossed Slouchy Beret made in Lamps Pride worsted. I’m also happy since she was always stealing my grey one and wearing it to school. Of course she isn’t as happy to share hers when I want to wear it.I love that they all wanted handmade hats from Mama, and that I was able to get them all finished and under the tree without anyone seeing them. I also managed to finish these for myselfI worked on these during the fall volleyball games and finished them just in time to wear on New Years Eve. Basic sock pattern using Socks That Rock Yarn bought at Rhinebeck in 2009.Next up some 2011 knits on the needles.
